Capabilities

MHS side scan sonar procedures are rigorously quality controlled, providing accurate seabed topography and location of seabed obstructions.

Capability 1

High resolution digital side scan imagery allows the seabed topography including sand waves and vessel scour to be accurately mapped. Where multibeam surveys are not conducted, MHS can utilise side scan technology to complement singlebeam echosounding methods to ensure 100% swathe coverage of the seabed.

Capability 2

High resolution digital side scan imagery allows the seabed topography and objects to be accurately mapped. MHS utilises side scan technology to accurately locate any seabed obstructions, hazards and objects such as rocks, wrecks, lost anchors and debris.

Capability 3

MHS can utilise side scan sonar technology to perform search and rescue operations for missing vessels and aircraft.
