Capabilities
MHS
provides marine geophysical investigations for marine requirements
including oil rig site surveys, foundation investigation, offshore
construction, port development investigation, dredging investigations,
coastal developments and ocean outfalls.

Scheidegg Research BOOMER catamaran powered by a modified
EG&G 234 energy source with output of 100 to 300 joules
and a firing rate of 2pps from external trigger is the system
used by MHS. Return signal is received via an 11 element hydrophone
array streamer and recorded to an EPC 1600 line scan recorder
using a 100 millisecond time base.

Pinger system is comprised of a GEG Sargent developed signal
generator and a towed catamaran with 4xEG&G 2.5kHz transducers.
Return signal is received via an 11 element hydrophone array
streamer and recorded to an EPC 1600 line scan recorder using
a 100 millisecond time base.

marine geophysicists are available to MHS to process, analyse
and report upon raw field data. Where necessary, geophysicists
attend site during the field data collection.
